UAD’s S3 Education Program Introduces PINTERS for Transformative Education in Schools
The Doctoral Program (S3) in Education at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) proudly announces the inception of the Program Induksi Pendidikan Transformatif di Sekolah (PINTERS). This innovative initiative aims to tackle educational challenges through the prism of transformative education.
PINTERS is designed to involve lecturers, students, and mentor teachers in schools, creating a collaborative ecosystem to address pressing issues in education. The program is built on the foundation of transformative pedagogy, which seeks to empower learners to critically engage with their environment and effect positive change.
In a recent coordination meeting with the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), represented by Mr. Fariz Setyawan M.Pd, who oversees collaborative activities, it was decided that the inaugural PINTERS session will take place in Indonesian schools located in Jeddah and Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Scheduled from August 5th to 30th, 2024, this milestone event marks the beginning of a transformative journey in education.
Prof Dr. Dwi Sulisworo, head of the S3 Education Program at UAD, expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact of PINTERS, stating, “This program signifies a crucial step towards reimagining education.
